Animal and Dairy Science Building

“The new Animal and Dairy Sciences Building provides our students and faculty with an exceptional teaching and learning environment,” said MSU President Mark E. Keenum. “This building will further enhance Mississippi State’s national and international leadership in agricultural sciences research and education.”

George Hopper, dean of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and director of the Mississippi Agricultural and Forestry Experiment Station, emphasized how the building positions the department for the future.

“The Department of Animal and Dairy Sciences has a legacy of training future leaders in animal agriculture,” Hopper said. “This facility will allow department faculty and staff to expand teaching, research and outreach efforts to assist the more than 16,000 livestock farmers in Mississippi.”

The Animal and Dairy Sciences Building will serve the department’s growing student body, which includes approximately 430 undergraduates and 30 graduate students. The facility also will house the department’s some 40 faculty members and staff. The space includes classrooms, laboratories, faculty offices, conference rooms and a graduate assistant suite. A food retail space on the first floor, adjacent to the main lobby, has been named by the Mississippi State Equine Association.

Trustmark Banks

Trusted Contractor for Trustmark Branches

Century Construction has an ongoing relationship with Trustmark Bank. We have provided construction management and general construction services over the past several years. We have provided construction services to branches in Meridian, Corinth, Southaven and Columbus, Mississippi.

We have been involved with several renovation projects across the state of Mississippi, and we have had the opportunity to price all of the new construction facilities. As our relationship with Trustmark continues to grow, we anticipate growing Century’s capacity to accommodate the needs of our client.

Most recently we have built a new branch in Southaven. For the Trustmark Southaven project, Century utilized the Design-Build delivery method. We provided a fresh contemporary design concept. The use of multiple exterior finish materials were used as part of the conceptual design process. As part of our pre-construction services, we will selected materials and systems which minimize life-cycle and maintenance costs. By continually assessing costs and schedule throughout the pre-construction process, project value was maximized through virtually eliminating the potential for costly re-design fees.
