Colin Maloney, Founder and CEO of Century Construction Group, has over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry.
The construction business has been a staple in Colin Maloney’s family for generations. His great grandfather, D.L. Collums, built the original Sears, Roebuck and Company in Tupelo, Mississippi in 1967. Colin’s mother and father were also involved in real estate and development for most of their lives. While working with his father in their family-owned glass shop (Creative Glass), Colin begin exploring the real estate and development industry.
Colin began his entrepreneurial career in 1991 when he formed Maloney Development Properties. Colin has grown the company into an enterprise that manages, owns, and leases commercial properties all over the state. This venture was followed by Century Construction in 1997. This gave Colin an entry into the commercial building and contracting industry. Colin’s entrepreneurship has taken Century Construction from only two laborers and one truck to the current position of being the 8th fastest-growing company in Mississippi with over 100 employees.
