Century Construction is currently constructing the $17.3 million contract for Garland Hedleston Mayes Renovations at The University of Mississippi. This project, designed to support the needs of the School of Applied Sciences, includes selective demolition of the interiors along with complete interior renovations of the three buildings originally built in 1938. As part of the project, a new two-story classroom building will be constructed and connected to the renovated structures.
To meet historical standards, the exterior facades of the three 1938 GHM buildings are being meticulously restored to match the original construction features. The windows, precast masonry, cornices, and roofing are being reproduced in profile and precise dimensions to simulate the original construction.
